Ecco have probably been one of the biggest “break-out” companies within the golf sector over the last decade or so. In the Biom Hybrid 3 you get a look at some of their most advanced technology to date, which cumulates in a highly impressive product.

The waterproof nature is perhaps their biggest selling point, which is achieved thanks to their GORE-TEX construction.

I found during testing that the cushioning on the sole allows for excellent comfort when walking around the course with the gripped outsole providing stability during shots. As well as this, the fact that these shoes are made from Ecco’s well-known YAK leather only adds to their suitability for testing weather conditions.

Despite being at a higher price than most in our testing, you can rest assured that you are undoubtedly getting your hands on a quality product, with removable cushioning in the insole demonstrating what kind of shoes these are.

On top of all this, these Scandinavian inspired shoes look fantastic in their simplicity, with the range of colours catering for all styles. The Biom Hybrid 3 is a good option for both on and off the golf course.

Adidas CLIMAPROOF BOA Wide Shoes

Adidas has developed one of the most eye-catching waterproof golf shoes around, with the CLIMAPROOF BOA product offering protection from rain, wind and snow. Adidas’ Climaproof technology also helps to keep your feet dry in the wet, while a unique foam sock liner provides additional warmth and comfort.

I found that the synthetic upper of these shoes ensured both dryness and comfort during testing, the microfibre leather also aiding in durability for the shoe. As well as this, if you are needing a little extra room for a wide fit, then these are going to fit the bill.

A six-spike configuration on the sole allows for excellent stability at all times, whilst also helping to grip the surface even in the rain.

Given the number of features on these shoes, the price point is perhaps high, yet warranted in my opinion. Their design may not appeal to the fashion conscious, but when it comes to the best waterproof golf shoe, they are one of the best.

FJ Waterproof Golf Boots

The Waterproof golf boots from FootJoy provide protection from the most severe weather conditions, whilst not affecting players when it comes to performance on the course.

A DuraMax rubber outsole provides both warmth and durability, whilst also ensuring that the shoes remain 100% waterproof at all times.

I found that the enhanced ankle portion of the shoes also aided in stability, as well as adding to comfort levels during testing. FootJoy’s spike technology on the soles means that I was able to retain grip, even in wet conditions underfoot.

Callaway Golf Delmar Sport Shoes

The Delmar sports shoe from Callaway offers excellent traction and stability, while the soft leather upper and moulded insole provides a hugely comfortable product. Callaway also offers a one-year waterproof guarantee, but I found no issues with moisture entering the shoes during testing on a wet course.

Additional traction is achieved even in the toughest conditions thanks to Xfer power wall technology, while I found that the multi-directional aspects of the shoe helped to achieve excellent stability on a range of lies, allowing me to hit shots at full power.

The Golf Demar sports shoes have a traditional feel to them, which is certain to attract plenty of golfers. The price point also means that this product is an excellent option for beginners and those who take to the course every now and then, with the leather upper providing good levels of durability too.

Buyers Guide

You should have found something to suit your golfing needs from the products discussed already, however there are still some important decisions to be made before going ahead with your purchase.
