Affordable car rental in Oban for a weekend trip?
Has anyone hired a car from Oban recently? I'll be arriving by train and need to rent a car for about a week to explore the surrounding areas. Looking for recommendations on which companies have offices near the station, typical costs, and any tips for getting the best deal. Also, are there any particular models you'd recommend for the local roads?

We had a good experience with Avis last year. They offer free delivery to your accommodation which was really convenient. Their staff were helpful and the booking process was straightforward.
I've found Sixt to be the most reliable in the area. They're not always the cheapest, but their vehicles are newer and they don't hit you with unexpected charges at the end. Worth paying a bit extra for peace of mind.
I'd recommend checking out Budget. They have a location near the train station and their prices are competitive. I hired a Hyundai Tucson from them last summer and it was perfect for the narrow roads around the area.
