Minibus hire in Aberdeen for a group of 12 hikers?

Tom Wilson2 months ago841 viewsNorth East Scotland

Our hiking club is planning a weekend trip to Aberdeen with 12 members. We need to hire a minibus to get everyone around efficiently. Has anyone hired a minibus in this area before? Looking for recommendations on companies that offer self-drive minibus hire, approximate costs, and any requirements (special license needed?). Any tips would be much appreciated!

I've found National to be the most reliable in the area. They're not always the cheapest, but their vehicles are newer and they don't hit you with unexpected charges at the end. Worth paying a bit extra for peace of mind.

I'd recommend checking out Europcar. They have a location near the train station and their prices are competitive. I hired a Toyota Yaris from them last summer and it was perfect for the narrow roads around the area.

If you're looking for something budget-friendly, try Wales Car Hire. They're a local firm with good rates. The cars aren't the newest but they're reliable and perfect for exploring the area.
