Self-drive 9-seater minibus rental in Carlisle?

Michael Chen2 months ago172 viewsNorthern England

I need to arrange minibus transport for a family group of 9 people in Carlisle. We'll be staying for a week and want to explore the surrounding hiking trails. Is it better to hire a self-drive minibus or use a minibus with a driver for day trips? Any recommendations for reliable companies in the area?

I've found Local Wheels to be the most reliable in the area. They're not always the cheapest, but their vehicles are newer and they don't hit you with unexpected charges at the end. Worth paying a bit extra for peace of mind.

I'd recommend checking out Hertz. They have a location near the train station and their prices are competitive. I hired a Ford Kuga from them last summer and it was perfect for the narrow roads around the area.

If you're looking for something budget-friendly, try Enterprise. They're a local firm with good rates. The cars aren't the newest but they're reliable and perfect for exploring the area.
