Minibus hire in Inverness for a group of 12 hikers?

David Williams2 months ago643 viewsScottish Highlands

Our hiking club is planning a weekend trip to Inverness with 12 members. We need to hire a minibus to get everyone around efficiently. Has anyone hired a minibus in this area before? Looking for recommendations on companies that offer self-drive minibus hire, approximate costs, and any requirements (special license needed?). Any tips would be much appreciated!

I've found Sixt to be the most reliable in the area. They're not always the cheapest, but their vehicles are newer and they don't hit you with unexpected charges at the end. Worth paying a bit extra for peace of mind.

I'd recommend checking out National. They have a location near the train station and their prices are competitive. I hired a Ford Focus from them last summer and it was perfect for the narrow roads around the area.
